Dancing lizards in Times Square

Sobe’s marketing campaign for LifeWater had them set up a stage and reenact the Thriller dance. And I have to say, they were actually pretty good.

Toni Basil is … 64 and single

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

I saw a banner ad just today prompting me to “Get Toni Basil’s ‘Mickey’ on your phone”. I don’t know if she’s single, but she is, in fact, 64. Just about the entire universe knows her cheerleading one-hit wonder Mickey. I’m just somewhat flabbergasted at this song’s staying power.

This song first hit #1 on December 11, 1982 and it’s still famous enough that someone decided a ringtone ad campaign was a good idea.

Coming soon from these ringtone guys: My Sharona, Somebody’s Watching Me, that Chumbawumba song, 99 Red Balloons, Informer , Bust a Move, and I Wish.

My favorite quote in regards to the final price for JPMorganChase’s purchase of Bear Sterns from the WSJ Online:

“I’ve got to think we can get more in a liquidation, I’m not selling my shares, this price is dramatically less than the book value Alan Schwartz told us the company is worth,” said a midlevel Bear Stearns executive. “The building is worth $8 a share.”

Social networks bring up a lot about you… your job history, relationship history…. but recently for me, it’s been about my ELEMENTARY school history!

First comes the fact that I found a really old friend on Facebook (like, the last time I talked to her was 15 years ago), and she’s doing really well… then comes this photo from my 2nd Grade Elementary School class from another really old acquiantance who’s also doing really well.

I’m last on the right in the second row… Full-size images coming soon for my your embarassment entertainment!
